This 2015, LIKHANGBATA starts with loads of art activities and updates. First off, the website gets a quick renovation with it's gallery format and official name. From an online gallery, we have now moved into a CREATIVITY CENTER catering from more than an online gallery but also to on-site art camps partnering with establishments around Quezon City. Future projects in the South of Metro Manila is still under negotiations, but hopefully, we will also be able to cater to those who have been asking teacher Dindi for a session there soon! Another endeavor is the regular summer art workshops that LIKHANGBATA will continue. Partnerships with Center For Music and Movement, The Great Leap Academy and Best For Families Inc., has born fruit to workshops, festivals and summer camps. Listed below are the initial details of activities that children can join starting this March 2015: Program Title: LIKHANG BATA ART FESTIVAL at the BEST FOR FAMILIES INC.

took an opportunity to record this event through lots and lots of photo shoots. But it wasn't just for show! Admission was FREE but guests were invited to bring and share donations too. Things like art materials, coloring books, writing activity books, old literature books, chalk, baby clothes, towels, bibs and cloth wipes were brought for the beneficiaries of BFF Inc. and LIKHANG BATA. There was also a MILK LETTING room opened to accept breast milk donation for BFF Inc.'s newborn beneficiaries at partner organizations. VIP guests like multi-awarded artist/ UP professor Anton Del Castillo honored us by cutting the ribbon - officially opening the exhibit, event sponsors Good Housekeeping Editor-In-Chief Tisha Angluben and Human (heart) Nature president Anna Wilk were present to help give-away raffle prizes to all the guests and certificates to the students. Blogger and multi-tasking mommy, Tina Rodriguez of TRULY RICH MOM was also there with her children. She had constantly shared Art Camp updates and images of the exhibit to her readers and online network. Free snacks of chips, crackers and some tasty cupcakes were served to all the guests while delicious coffee by CAFEPINO INSTANT COFFEE was also available. And besides the wonderful artworks by teacher Dindi's talented students, the event venue was filled with so much color by our event stylist sponsor, THE BLUE BUBBLE BALLOONS! All in all it was a great and fun activity. And it wouldn't have been a success if it weren't for all those who gave their time, shared their talents & skills and believed in the importance of Art education that helped make it happen! Congratulations to teacher Dindi Manlapaz' Art Masters who participated in the SALAMAT NANAY Art Exhibit:
Likhang Bata Online Gallery and Best For Families Inc. would also like to thank those who brought donations. These will be distributed to LIKHANG BATA and BFF Inc.'s usual beneficiaries like the Macopa Feeding Program in Fairview and various charity institutions for children. LIKHANG BATA now looks on to the next Art Camp batches. And teacher Dindi is excited to see again her former art masters and hopefully a lot of new ones in the coming months! Likhangbata Online Gallery's artists, Dindi & Dato Manlapaz joined the recently concluded Wine and Arts Night organized by the JCI Manila last THURSDAY, 3 April 2014 at the Enderun College Campus, Taguig. With an entrance fee of PHP 2,000/ head, this event was put up to help raise funds and build playgrounds for some less fortunate barangays around the city of Manila. Organizers coordinated an Art Gallery Sale and Display, free flowing wine (coupled with a unique wine tasting lecture) and delicious fine Cocktail Hors D'oeurves catered by Enderun College, of course! Images of playgrounds already built by JCI Manila in Rizal province Starting from early evening, guests poured in the main hall of the campus eager to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the event. Out of the 4 artists who participated, Dato and nanay were very excited to experience this exhibit. Although it was a bit disappointing that most of the artworks were not displayed properly in easels, nor was there any one in charge of starting the Art Auction, the food and wine lecture (with a lot of wine tasting opportunities) compensated for it and made it a fairly successful evening. Overall the organizers hoped that they had instilled on the guests the fulfillment of being able to take part in the construction of playgrounds to help keep less fortunate kids away from drugs and crime, by taking part in this interesting fundraising. |
