Here is a general list of art materials we usually use in our art projects and encourage parents to prepare in advance. Our art teachers will also inform you ahead of time of the art materials to prepare per session.

BASIC ART MATERIALS:
  • Drawing/ Coloring Base:
    1. Watercolor paper/ Sketch Pad / Canvas or Art Board/ Vellum Board (at least 230gsm thick and A4 in size)
    2. Scratch Papers (for drafts)
    3. Colored Paper/ Construction paper (in various colors, with extra black sheets)
  • Drawing Tools:
    1. Pencil (thick ones for younger kids)
    2. Eraser
    3. Sharpener
    4. Ruler
    5. Black Marker
    6. Coloring Materials - Crayons / Oil Pastel / Colored Pens (thick ones for younger kids)
  • Paint (water-based like tempera/ poster color/ acrylic)
    1. Make sure to have Black, White, and Primary Colors (Red, Blue, Yellow)
    2. For additional hues, you may also collect Orange, Green and Violet
    3. Throw in some special paint too if you like - Gold, Silver or Bronze
    4. Watercolor may be used but shades may appear lighter than what is expected
  • Painting Tools:
    1. Brushes (in different thickness; flat and round)
    2. Roller Brush 
    3. Palette knives (in different thickness)/ plastic spoon or knife
    4. Cups / Reusable Containers (for paint, water and glue mixture)
  • Scissors (toddler scissors for younger kids)
  • Adhesives:
    1. Glue/ Glitter Glue  
    2. Double sided tape/ Wasi tape/ Masking or Scotch tape/ Magic tape

OTHER CRAFT MATERIALS:
  • Special base materials for special projects, paper mâché, collage and may be used for floor and/or table cover:
    1. Old magazine pages
    2. Scratch paper and/or old newspaper/ Manila paper
    3. Felt paper, Japanese paper, crepe paper, Sand paper (keep stock of only a few pieces of each)
    4. Paper maché/ Taka toys
  • Up-cycled materials:
    1. Used (and cleaned) toothbrushes
    2. Popsicle sticks, chopped sticks
    3. String pieces/ old ribbons/ yarn
    4. Clean cloth retazos (for craft or for cleaning)
  • Other special materials (Stickers, Glitters, Cellophane, colored acetate, etc.) that you might like

Kindly take note that similar art materials are listed beside each other.  These are our recommended alternative materials that may be used when others stocks run out. But for clarifications and more options, feel free to ask your assigned Art teacher.
