THE LITTLE PRINCE
“…It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
Now what this quotes communicate to me is that it is important to start nurturing this innate ability of IMAGINATION and CREATIVITY at an early stage. And so while we as parents are learning now that we should promote creativity in our families, we are also offering them a bounty of intellectual, emotional and even health benefits! Can you believe that there are actually several studies found that kids’ imagination helped them cope better with pain, be more confident, help motivate them in their daily tasks, develop social skills, and learn better in brainstorming for their other academic subjects.
“…I must endure the presence of a few caterpillars if I wish to become acquainted with the butterflies.”
For me this means that our children may seem to have a lot of struggles, interesting quirks or ideas that may not always be right for us adults. But if we just put ourselves in this thought that each member of our family has strengths and weaknesses that will help each of us grow better, learn from each other and help each other become the butterfly that God has intended each of us to be. Learning does not just come from one’s exercise to read and understand. But learning also comes from inspiring each other everyday.
