Upcycling, according to WIKIPEDIA, is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value. And in this month's HUMAN<3NATURE magazine-catalogue, we did just that!
Human<3Nature is a company that helps produce and sell products that are more environmentally conscious AND help the poor at the same time. Its company tagline "PRO-ENVIRONMENT, PRO-PHILIPPINES, PRO-POOR" says it all. And through their founder and Nanay's very close friend, Anna Meloto-Wilk & Wowee Meloto-Gonzales, we were able to share our own little ideas on how to help save our environment too! During a half-day photo shoot, Nanay and Dato shared to the Human<3Nature staff how we used old CD’s, pieces of colored scratch paper, glitter/sequins, paint and some old paper boards into a shiny new wall decor. But our article did not just end there. Alongside our work were Human<3Nature's featured products that are Kid-Friendly, environment-friendly AND pro-poor + pro-Philippines as well! Whew! Quite a mouthful right? But also quite impressive knowing that Dato loves taking his baths with their Kids Shampoo for Boys or their fruity smelling, Pineapple Pawikan designed shampoo. This month, they also have a lunchbox promo for those buying the 500ml bottles.

I AM TEACHER NANAY DINDI :)
To be honest with you, I'm more of a visual artist rather than a writer/blogger. So "author" to me seemed kinda scary and I couldn't think of any other "tag" to write in this portion than NANAY (mother in Filipino language). Because that's who I really am, a Filipino mother first and an artist-teacher second.
